2 1/2 lbs. ground round
4 cans 15-oz. red kidney beans
2 medium onions chopped
2 cloves garlic crushed and chopped
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 can 26-oz. tomato sauce
1 can 14-oz. diced tomatoes
1 cup water
1 teaspoon kosher salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon crushed oregano leaves
½ teaspoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons chili powder
¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper to taste
¼ teaspoon ground cayenne pepper to taste
Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium heat. Brown ground beef over medium heat. Transfer browned ground beef to crock-pot.
Add chopped onions and garlic to Crock-pot. Add tomato sauce to Crock-pot.
Cook 1 hour on high.
Add kidney beans and diced tomatoes. Add water and all seasonings; mix well.
Cover and cook on low for 5 – 7 hours, stirring occasionally.
