I’m a big fan of making healthy smoothie recipes with Dagoba Organic Cacao Powder but there’s a number of other brands on the market. Raw cacao is beneficial because of its antioxidant amp. It has flavonoids, a powerful antioxidant compound that’s especially potent in cacao beans. In fact, it has a higher antioxidant capacity than black tea, green tea, and red wine.
Use local, raw honey for sweetness and raw banana for extra sweetness and creaminess and try a non-dairy milk source such as almond or coconut milk.
1 frozen banana, sliced
1/2 avocado, pitted, chopped
2 tbsp raw cacao powder
1 tbsp raw honey
1 cup almond or coconut milk
Toss all ingredients in a blender and mix on high until smooth.
